Immediate Loading Implants

At Control Dental Europeo, we’re specialists in immediate loading implants: basal, compressive and cortical implants. A less invasive, less painful and innovative technique which is must faster and less incapacitating for our patients.

Dental implants act as artificial roots to replace teeth or other pieces that have been lost. They can be integrated in a healthy and natural way with all other mouth tissue. As already mentioned, each implant works like an artificial root over which the dental crown or prosthetic tooth will sit much like natural teeth.

Pioneers in immediate loading implants: basal and compressive

We’ve been performing this technique at our clinic for more than 16 years and were pioneers and innovators with it. As mentioned, it’s not invasive for patients and it’s less painful. The procedure is faster and there’s practically no swelling afterwards.

Another advantage is that the gum is not opened with a scalpel (it’s perforated) which means there are no stitches. Provisional fixed prosthetic teeth are placed over intra-bone implants for one to four weeks depending on whether or not any teeth need to be pulled and the number of teeth to be replaced. These provisional ones are later replaced with definitive prosthetic teeth.

With basal implants, the residual (basal) bone is used and it survives everything and is present for many years in any toothless patient as well as some areas of the cortical bone, which is what must be used to anchor the implant for good reasons. The bones normally have two very different parts:
An outer cortical area (strong and heavily mineralized)
An inner portion known as the “spongy ”

While the cortical bone areas are structurally necessary and always repaired, the spongy bone areas are not necessary (from a bone mechanics perspective) and lead to reabsorption. One reason implantologists must preferably use the cortical bones is that cortical defects created during implant surgery area always repaired. Another reason is that the cortical bone is very resistant due to the high mineralization which is what enables immediate loading protocols. This promotes/guarantees implant integration.

Advantages

Non-invasive treatment for patients, trauma-free, no scalpel, no stitches…
We place the provisional fixed prosthetic teeth over the implants.
This achieves magnificent aesthetics.
And it all comes with the same guarantee as traditional implants.
Applicable in 95% of implant cases and in many cases without having to do any bone grafts; it’s done at the same time as the original teeth are removed
The definitive prosthetic teeth are made of zirconium or noble metals and both materials are covered with top-quality porcelain.

How are implants put in?

No scalpel, no stitches, no blood. One tried and tested technique makes this possible. We only perforate the mucous membranes with our drills which minimizes the trauma  without any blood or swelling. The self-tapping and compressive implant design makes  this technique a huge step forward and being able to use them immediately is taking us right into the future. The gums are not opened and there are no stitches which means provisional fixed  prosthetic teeth are placed over intra-bone implants for one to four weeks depending  on the number of teeth to be replaced and whether any teeth need to be removed..

When is the best time to put in implants?

The best solution for all dental loss situations is not always implants. Our professionals can recommend the best option and treatment for your situation clearly and professionally. As a general rule, immediate loading implants are the best solution and most similar to one’s own teeth. They can be put in when the old teeth are removed or later on. They may replace a single tooth or all of them.
Come see us and we’ll give you all the necessary information based on your own situation and pathology.
